iN2iTY Lab is using Data Science, Machine Learning, Behavioural Analytics and AI to improve student completion in Higher Education by helping educational leaders quickly and accurately identify students at risk of non-completion and understand the contributing factors or behaviours.

To do this, the EdTech startup is commercialising a deep knowledge tracing (DKT) platform, called DEEPTRACE, to help post-secondary education providers improve student retention and revenue.

iN2iTY Lab, an EdTech enterprise software business, was recently launched by co-founders Greg Higgins and Steve Nouri, enabled by the support and backing of Antler.

“Covid-19 has had a significant impact on education organisations across the globe,” says Bede Moore, Antler Managing Partner, APAC. “With the majority of education delivery to university students shifting to online, and student attrition and failure rates growing exponentially, Higher Education is bleeding billions of dollars a year, and universities and educational organisations look for scalable solutions to this problem. This is where iN2iTY Lab solves a growing global problem.

“The co-founders of this business, who have significant expertise and respect in the market, in both Data Science and AI, and have a track record of building global award-winning teams in this space, have designed a transformative way for Higher Education providers to support students through to completion.”

In just the first few weeks of operating iN2iTY LAB has already secured a letter of intent from a regional university in Australia.

“We have validated the problem and have been successful in engaging key and senior decision-makers in many Australian universities as potential future customers,” says Higgins.

“We have also received overwhelmingly positive feedback from Edtech startup veterans, and key stakeholders, and respected leaders in the Higher Education sector about the accuracy and validity of our solution and the market fit.

“Antler’s investment means that we can now increase our capacity in terms of data science and engineering expertise, and establish solid relationships with this initial small group of Universities, as we continue to build, refine and validate our MVP.”
